OMICRON CPC100 course (H-OMIPRIM)

  • After completing this 1-day training, the participant will have knowledge of:

    • Performing tests with the CPC 100 test set.
    • Preparing tests where reporting via the PC is possible.

    After completing this training, the participant will be able to:

    • Test CTs (and VTs) with the basic OMICRON test cards.
    • Set up a series of test cards to facilitate the execution of tests.
    • Work safely with the CPC100.
    • During the course, tests will be performed on a CT to fully measure it.

    This is the basic entry-level course for the CPC100, necessary to understand the possibilities available to a user for on-site execution with this primary test set.

Target Group

  • This course is intended for all individuals who, through their work, deal with primary components of an installation, usually in combination with the connection to (digital) protections where this CPC100 test set can be used. Engineers, commissioning engineers, and maintenance technicians.

Content

    • Safety aspects of the CPC100.
    • The hardware structure of the CPC100 test set.
    • Test cards and how they can be used.
    • The Quick card.
    • Front panel and the selection buttons.
    • Handling of the files.
    • Types of measurements available and the connections.
    • Wiring and connections and handling of the grounding.
    • CPCTool set and primary Test Manager.
    • Additional use of the CPC100 in combination with other components of the OMICRON primary test spectrum.

Prerequisites

  • Participants are expected to have knowledge of (digital) protections and the requirements surrounding them, also related to the primary components of an installation.

Note

    • The course has a strong practical character. Everything is aimed at mastering all the actions needed by a tester, especially for current transformers.
    • There is one CPC100 available and a CT that will be used sequentially within the group.
    • The course will proceed with a minimum of 4 participants. For more information or special requests, please contact the Power Academy.
