SIPROTEC 4/5 Current transformare Earthing (H-SIP5CT)

  • In this optional course of about 2 hours you will learn how within the SIPROTEC range from the past to today the direction of the CT is determined by the indicated earthing of these CTs. Direction requires both voltage connections and current connections, within SIEMENS protections the motor convention is applied to determine this direction. As is common with most protection relay vendors.

  • This course is intended for persons involved in the engineering process, the determination of the settings, the programming, and the use of the protections of the entire SIPROTEC series. Engineers, commissioners and maintenance technicians.

  • Prerequisites

    • Basic knowledge of the different types of protection as covered in the H-BM or H-BI course. Knowledge of SIPROTEC 5 and DIGSI 5 as covered in the SIPROTEC 5 Basic Course with DIGSI 5.

    Note

      1. This optional course is intended to deepen the knowledge of how the directions around current transformers are determined within the complete SIEMENS SIPROTEC range. We have noticed that many users sometimes struggle with this. This course contains a lot of theory but can be deepened by giving real applications and examples with existing SIPROTEC models to support the theory. Then the course will take longer than the indicated 2 hours.
      2. If you also want to actively program yourself, we can add a separate practice part of the day where you can work with a security and your own data for this lockout function and a training PC or your own PC, provided that the correct software is installed on it. Together with an OMICRON for performing the tests.
