Is lunch included with the course fee?

Yes, for scheduled Industry Training courses at our Manchester site we provide lunch everyday within the course fee. A range of lunchtime meal options are available each day in the our "Beehive" restaurant but if you have any special dietary requirements please let us know before attending the course. We also provide light refreshments at course break times at no additional charge.

What time do courses begin and end each day?

For open courses at our Manchester site a standard course day starts at 09:00 and finishes at 16:30. The start and finish times on the first and last day may be different to this. To check the detailed times for your course please consult your joining instructions which are sent out prior to your course date.

Do I need to bring my Personal Protection Equipment or my PC/notebook?

No. All courses at our training centre are classroom based so there is no requirement for any protection equipment.

To enhance our digital journey, access to course notes are provided electronically via iPad.  These will be allocated at the beginning of the course. 

BYOD - You are welcome to bring your own device, connect to our guest Wi-Fi network, to access and edit your notes. Please note SIEMENS will not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to a personal device while you are at SIEMENS, Sir William Siemens House, Manchester.

What is the dress code?

SIEMENS Manchester, including the training centre, is a standard office environment so smart casual dress is fine. If you are attending a course where you could be working with rotating machinery, for example CNC and drives courses, please avoid wearing loose clothing, scarves or ties in the training rooms. There is not a requirement to bring PPE to wear in the training rooms.

Is there Wi-Fi onsite?

Yes there is a free of charge guest wireless internet facility available at the Manchester site. Your instructor will provide details about access at the beginning of your course.

What is the cancellation policy for scheduled courses places?

Cancellation requests must be made in writing. The following charges will apply:

16-25                                       50%

No fees will be charged where more than 25 days notice is received.

Notice period commences from the time that Siemens plc, Industry Training Administration receives written confirmation. Substitutions will be accepted at any time for confirmed course places at no additional charge.
