The Apprenticeship Levy

The Apprenticeship Levy is being introduced by the government in April 2017 to fund 3 million apprenticeship starts by 2020.

The levy is set at 0.5% of an employer’s overall salary bill and will be collected through PAYE. It will only be payable if as a company your payee bill is £3 million per annum or more. This money will be placed into a digital account for you to spend on Apprenticeship training and the government will top up this account by 10%.
