• A typical drive train consists of a motor, converter, coupling, and gear unit. Each of these components is available in different designs and technologies. With motors, for example, a distinction can be made between induction, synchronous, and servo motors, while for gear units it is the arrangement of the gear wheels which is the most important distinguishing feature.
