The networks are reaching, in the era of Industry 4.0, ever larger extensions. This means higher installation and maintenance costs. An interesting alternative to physical wiring is the use of wireless, which has the undoubted advantages of limiting the laying of long sections of cable and being able to be used in mobile solutions, such as AGVs. The course provides participants with the foundations and knowledge necessary to plan, implement and provide support for wireless configurations. A small wireless network is implemented, also applying communication to realtime-capable systems.

After attending the course, you can:
- Understand the principles of operation of wireless networks
- Distinguish the different standards of IEEE 802.11
- Create an ad hoc wireless network that meets the needs of your system

- Differences and coexistences of different wireless technologies
- Theoretical foundations of wireless technology
- Introduction to WLAN access procedures
- Introduction to different WLAN standards
- Design and configuration of the different types of radio links
- Design and configuration of RCoax and iPCF cable networks
- Design and configuration of networks with iPCF-MC
Theoretical knowledge will be deepened with practical exercises by accessing a remote system. This is made up of:
- Access Point and Client SCALANCE W
