Increasing production needs lead to increasingly expensive downtime costs machine: today more than ever it is essential to react quickly and accurately to a system failure. TIA Portal, in addition to the classic integrated diagnostic tools, provides the user with various services to be able to create their own customized diagnostics according to their needs. The course will allow you to combine the integrated diagnostics with a diagnostics dedicated to yours system through the use of tools such as user messages and the use of the SIMATIC ProDiag option.

After attending the course, you can:
- Create customized diagnostics through dedicated instruction blocks
- Use SIMATIC ProDiag for generating alarms on the SIMATIC HMI operator panel
- Display a sequencer programmed in SIMATIC S7-GRAPH on a SIMATIC HMI operator panel

- System architecture
- Fundamental concepts on generating alarms
- Integrated PLC and HMI diagnostic tools
- Generation of customized alerts through the Program_Alarm and Gen_UsrMsg instructions
- Overview of the use of SIMATIC ProDiag
- Supervision of variables with SIMATIC ProDiag
- Associate an S7-GRAPH program with SIMATIC ProDiag
- Integration and diagnostics on HMI
The theoretical knowledge will be deepened with practical exercises by accessing a remote system. This is made up of:
- SIMATIC S7-1500 with SIMATIC HMI TP700 Comfort
- PC station with SIMATIC STEP 7 Professional (TIA Portal)

TIA-SERV1 or TIA-PRO1 courses or equivalent basic knowledge of automation systems.
It is recommended to have attended the SIE-GRAPHC course and have knowledge of the operator control and monitoring systems SIMATIC HMI.
