Diagnostics is an essential element for the configuration and maintenance of a PROFINET network. In addition to the integrated diagnostic tools, TIA Portal provides various instructions that allow automatic configuration and active monitoring of all the nodes implemented in an automation network. External diagnostic tools are also available. During the course you will learn how to use the configuration and diagnostic instructions of a PROFINET network in the user program. You will also use the PRONETA network configuration and diagnostics software.

After attending the course, you can:
- Program a complete analysis of the PROFINET network using dedicated instructions
- Perform targeted diagnostics with DeviceState and ModuleState
- Use the advanced features of PRONETA

- System architecture
- Creation of a PROFINET network
- Configuration of a PROFINET network from the user program
- PROFINET node location functionality from user program (name and I / O addresses)
- Identification of hardware components via slot or logical address
- Diagnosis of PROFINET nodes with DeviceStates and ModuleStates instructions
- PROFINET network configuration via topology with PRONETA
- Advanced diagnostic features with PRONETA
Theoretical knowledge will be deepened with practical exercises by accessing a remote system. This is made up of:
- SIMATIC S7-1500
- SIMATIC ET 200SP
- PC station with SIMATIC STEP 7 Professional (TIA Portal)

TIA-SERV1 or TIA-PRO1 courses or equivalent basic knowledge of automation systems.
SIE-PNBA course or equivalent basic knowledge.
