The basic safety functions of a SINAMICS G120 converter ensure the safe movement of machine parts in accordance with the applicable legislation. Sometimes, however, additional functions are required to be able to manage the production process in the best possible way and in complete safety. By participating in this course you will acquire the skills necessary to manage advanced safety functions of SINAMICS G120 drives via PLC. You will also be shown the procedures for making a Acceptance Test and integrated diagnostic tools.

After attending the course, you can:
- Use the advanced safety features of a SINAMICS G120 drive
- Perform an Acceptance Test

- System architecture
- Parameterization of the safety functions with SINAMICS Startdrive
- Operating principle of the advanced safety functions SLS, SSM and SDI
- Management of advanced functions via PROFIsafe
- Carrying out an Acceptance Test via SINAMICS Startdrive Advanced
- Advanced safety diagnostics
- Replacement of components
Theoretical knowledge will be deepened with practical exercises by accessing a remote system. This is made up of:
- SINAMICS G120
- SIMATIC S7-1500F
- PC station with SIMATIC STEP 7 Professional (TIA Portal) and SINAMICS Startdrive Advanced
