  • This course provides the basic knowledge required to understand the different SIMATIC WinCC Unified solutions and to properly manage supervisory devices within an automation system based on TIA Portal. The objective is to enable technical personnel to configure operator panels and runtime systems, identify possible malfunctions, and take prompt action to minimize machine downtime. During the course, participants will be introduced to the full range of WinCC Unified platforms, with particular focus on the scalability of Basic Panels, Comfort Panels, and PC Runtime systems. They will learn how to perform the initial configuration of operator panels by setting key parameters such as IP address, firmware version, remote access, and date and time. The course will also cover how to integrate a Unified device into a TIA Portal project, how to establish and verify communication with SIMATIC S7‑1200 and S7‑1500 PLCs, and how to use the available diagnostic tools to analyze and resolve operating issues. Additionally, the course explains backup, replacement, and restoration procedures for WinCC Unified devices, using both built‑in panel functions and dedicated software tools such as TIA Portal and ProSave.
