The Totally Integrated Automation Portal (TIA Portal) can be used to automate engineering tasks. To increase energy-efficiency, collecting and visualizing energy-relevant data is key. This ranges from direct current to three-phase current. SIMATIC WinCC visualizes and stores the energy data all the way from the infeed to the distribution and to the energy consumer.
The SIMATIC Energy Manager PRO is – based on the collected data – a decision base for a company-wide energy management.
Indicators and integrated analysis functions support the user with optimizing the energy consumption and thus with the reduction of the energy cost portion per produced piece.
This enables well-founded consumption analyses and projections as well as energy-efficiency ratings of machines.

To protect digital enterprises against cyber attacks plant operators and machine builders need a holistic approach. Machine and plant security enables the efficient implementation of security measures through integrated security functions in TIA Portal. Scalable and predictable security services lead to reduced costs. Additionally, our automation hardware complies with security norm IEC 62443.
