SITRAIN access Data Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice applies to the SITRAIN access offerings provided by Siemens Aktiengesellschaft, Werner-von-Siemens-Straße 1, 80333 Munich, Germany (“Siemens” or “we”). Protecting the security and privacy of your personal data is important to Siemens.  This SITRAIN access Privacy Notice explains how we collect, store, use, disclose and transfer (hereinafter “process”) your personal data when you use our SITRAIN access offerings.

Categories of personal data processed and purpose of the processing

When you use our SITRAIN access offerings we process the following categories of personal data (which you have actively and voluntarily provided about yourself when creating an account, or which have been generated by us in connection with your use of  SITRAIN):

1. Your contact information, including name, e-mail address, telephone number;
2. Your training history, including information on trainings completed by you ((1.) and (2.) jointly “Training Data”);
3. Information that is automatically sent to us by your web browser or device, such as your IP-address, device type, browser type, referring site, sites accessed during your visit, the date and time of each visitor request.

We use the above-mentioned personal data to provide you with the SITRAIN access offerings that you wish to use and for the further purposes described in section 1 of our Data Privacy Notice.

Processing of your personal data; joint controller agreement

The company that you work (“Your Company”) may request Siemens to grant selected individuals (“Manager Users”) access to your Training Data to administer your usage of SITRAIN access, including to onboard you to SITRAIN access and to allocate training courses to your curriculum. Your Company determines the Manager Users. Manager Users may work for Your Company or for another legal entity determined by Your Company, e.g. an affiliated entity.

As Siemens and Your Company jointly determine the purposes and means of the processing of your Training Data in this respect, they have concluded a joint controller agreement within the meaning of Art. 26 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation which describes both parties’ obligations in relation to the processing of your Training Data. According to the agreement, (i) you may exercise your data protection related rights via Siemens by writing to dataprivacy@siemens.com and (ii) Your Company is responsible for its use of Training Data and the transfer of Training Data to third parties in accordance with applicable data protection law. The essence of the joint controller agreement will be made available to you upon your request.
