Extinguishing Advanced (BT-F43)

Objectifs

  • On completion of the course, the trainee should:
    • Have the knowledge of the BT extinguishing portfolio
    • Be able to understand the customer requirements
    • Be able to understand the differences between the different extinguishing standards & concentrations and their impact on system design, price etc.
    • Be able to understand the operating principles of the different valve types
    • Be able to differentiate a well installed pipe network from a bad one
    • Be able to understand the world market analysis
    • Be able to understand the whole process of an extinguishing project
    • Be able to manage a basic extinguishing project by himself
    • Be able to manage a complex extinguishing project with the assistance of an expert
    • Be able to face all safety and security aspects involved in an extinguishing installation - manipulation and transportation of cylinders

Programme / Contenu

  • The principles that affect the decision process to select an extinguishing system (including knowledge about Regulations and Standards)
  • Are able to understand the differences within a agent category (e.g. unregulated or regulated, or between 1230 and 227)
  • Are able to present the Sinorix portfolio to a customer
  • Are able to use available software (e.g. Quick Calculation Tool and Configurix) to define a principal layout of an extinguishing system
  • Are able to define the needed hardware for an extinguishing system (valves, nozzles, overpressure flaps, etc.)
  • Have a good understanding about existing documentation, marketing material and further training modules

Prérequis

  • Completion of training course BT-F07: Extinguishing Basics
