Fondamenti per configurazione di reti industriali WiFi 4 (IEEE 802.11n) (SIE-IWLAN4-CFG)

  • In the context of Industry 4.0, connectivity is no longer an accessory—it is a critical infrastructure. Connecting PLCs, HMIs, AGVs, supervisory systems, or remote machines via wireless networks requires specific expertise, especially in industrial environments characterized by interference, metal structures, and high operational continuity requirements. It is within this scenario that Siemens SCALANCE Wireless devices with WiFi 4 (IEEE 802.11n) standard come into play, designed specifically to meet the demands of industrial environments. Participants will learn how to correctly configure SCALANCE W devices, understanding their operating logic and their role within an industrial network architecture, with a particular focus on secure integration into IT and OT networks. At the end of the course, configuring a SCALANCE device will no longer be a mere procedure to follow, but a conscious activity aimed at ensuring robustness and reliability of the plant.

Objectives

  • After attending the course, you will be able to:
    • Configure SCALANCE W Access Points and Clients
    • Correctly set security parameters (WPA2/WPA3, access management)
    • Integrate the devices into PROFINET networks and OT infrastructures
    • Diagnose communication issues and optimize radio performance
